BHSc Naturopathy
My journey into naturopathy began with a deep passion for health & caring for my body. Yet, for many years, I struggled to understand what true health actually meant.
Before discovering naturopathy, I believed health was largely reflected in how my body looked & performed. Like many women, I compared myself to standards that were never designed for my unique needs. At times, when I looked my healthiest on the outside, I felt my worst on the inside. I was overtraining, under-fuelling, disconnected from my body's signals, & unaware of the profound influence that hormones, nutrition, stress, & the menstrual cycle have on a woman's wellbeing.
What I also failed to understand was the importance of my nervous system. I spent years trying to optimise my health through discipline & effort, without recognising that the body cannot truly thrive when it does not feel safe. Learning to support my nervous system became just as important as learning how to nourish my body, & transformed the way I approached health altogether.
Naturopathy taught me to appreciate the incredible interconnectedness of the body & the countless processes working harmoniously every moment to keep us alive, resilient, and thriving. Rather than striving for perfection, I learned that health is built upon balance, trust, & developing a deeper understanding of what your body is communicating.
Alongside my passion for health has always been a deep desire to help others. I have always felt naturally drawn to listening, supporting, and holding space for people through their challenges. Throughout my own health journey, there were times when I felt the complexity of my experience was overlooked, my concerns were not fully heard, & I was searching for someone who would take the time to understand the bigger picture.
This experience shaped the practitioner I am today. Every single person deserves to feel listened to, understood, & supported as an individual. Health is rarely as simple as a single symptom or diagnosis; I help people explore the many interconnected factors influencing their wellbeing.
For me, improving my health was not about pushing harder—it was about learning to listen. It meant understanding my cycle, respecting my body's changing needs, and recognising that feeling my best does not look the same every day. Through education, awareness, self love & nourishment, I discovered a more intuitive & sustainable approach to wellbeing.
My passion is helping others reconnect with their bodies in the same way. I believe that when we understand the messages our bodies are sending, feel supported in our health journey, & provide the foundations our bodies need to function optimally, we create the conditions for lasting health, vitality, & resilience.
